Why Convert Images to PDF?
Converting images to PDF is one of the most practical document tasks there is. Receipts photographed on your phone become a single PDF expense report. A series of product photos becomes a portfolio document. Scanned pages of a form, photographed one by one, become a cohesive multi-page submission. Images are also harder to edit once in PDF form, making the format better for professional submissions and official records. Many government portals, HR systems, and academic institutions require PDF submissions β converting your images is the only way to comply.
What Image Formats Are Supported?
PdfDocShift accepts JPG/JPEG, PNG, and WEBP images. JPG is the default output from most phone cameras and scanners, making it the most commonly converted format. PNG is preferred for screenshots, diagrams, and any image with text or sharp edges β it is lossless, so there is no quality degradation during conversion. WEBP is a modern format increasingly used by web browsers and Android devices. All three formats produce full-colour, high-fidelity PDF output with the image filling the page at the original aspect ratio.
How to Combine Multiple Images Into One PDF
When converting multiple images, the order you add them determines the page order in the output PDF. Arrange your images carefully before processing β reordering afterwards requires re-conversion. If your images are numbered sequentially (scan001.jpg, scan002.jpg), most file pickers will sort them correctly by default, but always double-check. The resulting multi-page PDF is a single portable file that can be emailed, printed, or archived as one document β far more convenient than sending a folder of loose image files.
